Certificate in Community Sports Work Level Three VRQ
The Certificate in Community Sports Work is a new professional development qualification for community sports coaches, sport and youth officers and activity leaders working in community sport. The Certificate is a Level 3 VRQ, accredited by Sports Leaders UK and forms a core section of the NVQ Level 3 in Sports Development and Recreation. The course has been designed specifically to provide theory and understanding for people delivering community based sports projects across three areas of Developing a Community Sports Programme, Leading a Community Sports Programme and Concluding a Community Sports Programme. The course is highly interactive and facilitates opportunities for candidates to share good practice. This course is delivered by London Community Sports Network
Learning Objective
The course will provide candidates with the opportunity to increase their knowledge and understanding of Understanding the community, Networking within the community, Planning a community sports programme, Communicating and building effective community relationships, Managing session dynamics and building motivation, Managing conflict in a community sports context, Building momentum of your community sports programme, Effective monitoring and evaluation of a community sports session and Managing growth and sustainability
Support Materials
Participants will receive a workbook for each tutor training day and a field book to complete their field work hours
Prerequisites / specific elegibility requirements
Candidates must be 18 years or over and are expected to have at least 1 years experience (or equivalent) of coaching in a community setting

3 training days and 45 hours of field book (65 hours in total) Same day for three weeks

Accredited - Level Three
This course is a Level 3 VRQ, accredited by Sports Leaders UK and forms a core section of the NVQ Level 3 SkillsActive National Occupational Standards in Sports Development and Recreation. Candidates must attend and participate in three training days, complete 45 hours of Field Book tasks and produce a final case study submission to demonstrate their understanding and application of the issues
