Football Coaching Certificate Level Two

This is an advanced Certificate in coaching Football. The Certificate is delivered in four parts; Football Coaching principles and ethics workshop, Working with others in football and Child protection best practice, Preparing football coaching sessions and the Laws of the Game and Conducting coaching sessions and emergency aid. The practical sessions will involve Basic techniques, Attacking and defending, Principals of attack and defence - small sided games and much group work, good practice sharing and discussion. This course has been developed by the Football Association

Learning Objective

The course will provide candidates with the ability to Promote and establish working relationships and high standards between players, coaches, parents and officials in the overall development of grassroots football, Achieve an awareness of related aspects regarding children’s football, understand the learning and coaching process, Relate to overuse injuries in growing youngsters and Gain awareness of health and safety issues

Support Materials

Candidates will be issued with resource material and a log book to be completed during the course

Prerequisites / specific elegibility requirements

Candidates must be aged 17 years or over, have a Football Level One coaching certificate and be able to show some evidence of recent coaching experience

Duration

5 days. The course length is 60-90 hours long including coaching experience and assessment days

Accredited

Accredited - Level Two

Each candidate is required to undertake a series of three practical assessments of approximately 20 minutes and written assessment. Candidates also have to compile a log book of their coaching experience prior to the final assessment. A multiple choice referee’s exam will also need to be completed. Upon successful completion of all aspects of the course including two assessments Candidates will be awarded the 1st4sport Certificate in Coaching Level 2
