Welcome to London Community Sports Network

London Community Sports Network (LCSN) is a second tier organisation providing support to frontline community and voluntary groups to capacity build and lobby government.

Our primary function is to help organisations within London's voluntary and community sports sector to develop and grow, so they can attract more resources and deliver better sporting and personal development opportunities to their members and communities. The project is developing a sound reputation across London’s third sector for specialist knowledge and growing track record of community development.

LCSN is hosted and run by Leyton Orient Community Sports Programme (LOCSP), an organisation with more than 15 years experience of delivering sports development, education and training to young people across north east London.

2012 Games
The Economic Development, Culture, Sport and Tourism Committee is investigating two areas of the sporting legacy of the 2012 Games with a view to influencing the London Legacy Plan for Sport.
2012 legacy for young Londoners
The Committee is examining what is being done, and what more could be done, to ensure a 2012 sporting legacy for young Londoners. The Mayor has indicated that ensuring the 2012 Games sets in place a lasting legacy for youth sport across the capital is a high priority.
Swimming pools in London
Just how many public swimming pools do Londoners have access to? Where are they and where do they need to be?
The Committee is investigating the provision of public swimming pools in the capital and examining how many more are needed in order to hit 2012 sports participation targets. The in-depth investigation will map the number and location of public swimming pools across London as part of its examination of the sporting legacy of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
For further information on these investigations, please contact Laura Warren on 020 7983 4507 or email laura.warren@london.gov.uk.
