To apply for any of the Sprint courses:

  1. Read and check the candidate eligibility AND course requirements.

  2. If you fit the eligibility criteria you must fully complete a booking form with all the required signatories and return to the office at least THREE weeks before the start date of your chosen course.

  3. We will acknowledge receipt of your booking form by email (you must give us a valid email address). Please note this is not does constitute an automatic acceptance.

  4. If you are accepted onto the course, your place will be confirmed by letter and email TWO weeks before the start date of your chosen course.

  5. For statutory staff/ volunteers: You will be required to pay a £30 fee per person per course.

  6. All candidates will have to complete a Skills for Life assessment after attending their training course.

The Sprint Booking Form

The booking form must be fully completed sent back to the Sprint Team with the following details:

  • Personal details
  • Access needs if applicable
  • Employment and Employer details including Line Manager's contact details
  • Line Manager's input and signature
  • Training and further development details
  • A maximum of 2 chosen course titles on each form and reasons for applying for these courses
  • Where you heard about Sprint
  • Signed by the applicant and Line Manager

2012 Games
The Economic Development, Culture, Sport and Tourism Committee is investigating two areas of the sporting legacy of the 2012 Games with a view to influencing the London Legacy Plan for Sport.
2012 legacy for young Londoners
The Committee is examining what is being done, and what more could be done, to ensure a 2012 sporting legacy for young Londoners. The Mayor has indicated that ensuring the 2012 Games sets in place a lasting legacy for youth sport across the capital is a high priority.

Just how many public swimming pools do Londoners have access to? Where are they and where do they need to be?
The Committee is investigating the provision of public swimming pools in the capital and examining how many more are needed in order to hit 2012 sports participation targets. The in-depth investigation will map the number and location of public swimming pools across London as part of its examination of the sporting legacy of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
