Employment Support Programme

Do you fancy swapping jobs for an hour? Or at least want to find out what other job roles are out there?

The Sprint Employment programme offers the chance to explore your work potential. Through this programme you will have the opportunity to experience different work contexts - from youth club to professional sports club and local authority to leisure centre. You can try different job roles - from sports coach to manager or youth leader to chief executive. Sprint can try to make it happen for you.

Sprint will support beneficiaries to access and match work and volunteering opportunities with the 2012 Employment Brokerage projects in the Five Host Boroughs and from across London.

Key Skills - Assessment Support Meeting

All learners who apply for or complete a Sprint course will be required to attend an Assessment Support meeting for an hour at a mutually agreed date, time and venue with a member of the Sprint Team.

The Assessment Support meeting is to provide further personal development and key skills support. The purpose of the meeting, which will last no more than an hour, is to:

  • Discuss current training needs of the learner and provide options, complementary employment support (including identifying where Sprint can provide work shadowing opportunities).
  • To conduct a Skills for Life assessment (basic numeracy, literacy, ICT and ESOL) to identify any gaps. If Skills for Life gaps are identified Sprint will be encouraging learners to take advantage of the Sprint Skills for Life training which has been tailor made for community sports workers.

All learners should discuss the Sprint Assessment meeting with their supervisors/ Line Manager's to ensure both are aware of the benefits that the Sprint Assessment meetings will provide

If you have any queries about the Support Assessment process, contact Sprint

If you would like to swap jobs, get involved in work shadowing or just get some friendly supportive career advice please contact Sprint to arrange a Sprint Assessment Support meeting.
