Can I apply?

If you run sports and physical activity projects in the community for young people at risk of exclusion then Sprint is for you.

The cost of all the training is free for people working or volunteering in a community group, voluntary organisation and/ or sports club and at a small cost (£30) for people working or volunteering for a statutory body. You must have the full consent from your Supervisor/ Manager to undertake any training.

To be eligible you need to be:

  • Working in a London borough
  • Working (full time or part time) or volunteering running sports and physical activity projects in the community to young people at risk of exclusion (training is free for community and voluntary groups and at a £30 cost for statutory organisations).
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Aged 16 or over

Sprint will cover the cost of childcare, BSL interpreters and/ or travel in special circumstances and will support any further access requirements of the

Bookings for NVQ Level 2 equivalent, Level 3 equivalent or higher courses

Candidates wishing to undertake any NVQ Level 2 equivalent, Level 3 or higher courses need to do complete the booking process as above and candidates will also need to do the following:

  1. Undergo a telephone interview to assess your understanding of the course and suitability for the course.

  2. Provide a deposit of £200 which will be refunded upon full attendance.

  3. In case of a cancellation please inform us up to ONE week before so that spaces can be allocated to other candidates otherwise you will be subject to the Cancellations fee as set out below.

Cancellations Policy

If you need to cancel your place on a course you must telephone the office at least 24 hours before the start of your course (a voicemail can be left during out of office hours), except for candidates attending an NVQ Level 2 equivalent or higher course you are expected to give one weeks notice.

If you fail to inform us of your cancellation or you do not show up on the day your organisation will be charged a £100 administration fee.
