Football | Seville | 2 week placement

I went to Seville to do a mobility that was focused on football coaching and fitness. I play for a club and I also do football coaching to an under 11's girls team where I live.

I got even more out of my trip to Seville than I had hoped for. We were learning about training and tactics from coaches that had worked in the Spanish top division and they had years of experience of coaching professional footballers. I learnt so much from them about strategies and different styles of football training, in just a couple of weeks.

We also had a big focus on fitness training sessions that are designed to prevent common football injuries. Getting to learn these strength and flexibility exercises will really help me as a footballer and also the kids that I coach and hopefully it will help to reduce injuries in the future.

For me the biggest surprise was all of the cultural and language activities. I've never spoken another language before and I found it really hard when I was at school, but in Seville we had some Spanish classes and I was surprised at how many new words and phrases I was able to learn. We also saw lots of different sites around Seville.

My favourites were the bull fighting ring and the La Seta which is a really high building in the city centre and when you get to the top you can see the whole of Seville.
