Training

Community Sports Coaching and Development is offering 6-week placements funded by the Erasmus+ programme that combine work experience with an accredited sports coaching qualification.

Placements will provide experience in sports coaching within education, health & fitness and leisure & tourism environments across a range of sports, including: Football, Cricket, Rugby, Fitness Training and Equine Sports.

Wherever possible, learners will be supported in focusing on their own areas of interest but you will also be expected to get involved with a range different sports and activities.

Learners will all work towards the Award in Principles of Coaching Sport at either Level 2 or Level 3 and you will be working 5 days/week over the 6 weeks, split about evenly between work placement and study.

Erasmus+ funding covers the cost of return flights, travel insurance and accommodation and bills during the time in Spain, with students also receiving €100/week for living costs.  Accommodation is self-catering in twin rooms.

Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport for the years 2014 to 2020.  Community Sports Coaching and Development has successfully applied for funding for our Community Sports Coaching Mobility (CSCM) project under Key Action 1 the Vocational Education and Training strand of the Erasmus+ programme, which provides funding for UK training organisations to send learners and staff on work experience placements in other EU countries.
